Very professional staff especially the nurse's who give out the methadone always greeting you and ask how your doing ...for a drug addict who is already going thru mixed emotions caused by kicking chiva small talk and a friendly greeting goes a long way and lightens up your stress .. good job .. I'm clean now 6 months and feeling good

Everyone is helpful and friendly. Even if I'm having a bad day I walk out knowing that there are people who do genuinely care about those they help.

I moved to California earlier this year for a better life, but ended up in the streets, living under a bridge, I got hooked on heroine, God I was so hurt, broken, .upset, I needed a change, I got up and got ready, today is the day!! I said.., I called hand full of methadone clinics, was told that i couldn't be seen today, or I needed to make an appointment and couldnt be seem unless a doctor is available, I tried to explain To them that today's the day, I need this, tmrw probably won't be the same, I'm ready today ma'am!! 😦.. I gave it one last shot, I called NPP, the lady over the phone calm me down and said to come in, at that very moment I stop everything I was doing and headed towards my recovery. My first day was difficult, but the counselor doctors and nurses at narcotics prevention project never judged me, walked me through every step, and told me everything is going to be ok. I want give special thanks to irene, the counselor at NPP. The day I started treatment I talked to irene and broke down in tears about not owning cloths , i was wearing baggy clothes with holes, and rips... the next day I saw Irene , she handed me a bag full of cloths her daughter had donated to me " i finally had clothes and pair of shoes I also needed" Thanks irene and everyone at NPP, , u guys have made this difficult journey much easier and rewarding in many ways, so again thank u. If anyone is reading this, go to NPP, make a positive change in your life, your worth it, good luck!

The people who given low ratings have given low ratings of this place for no reason like the "site isnt updated" or they haven't gotten "their increase" its not the doctors fault go out their and speak to your counselor and ask for the increase and if you dont get your increase within 3-4 days talk to your counselor again ... Damn we are all trying to get off drugs well at leas some of us (me being one of them) and I personally choose to talk to my counselor and they help me out their as much as possible .... If you really want help. Go and talk to your counselor dont just go in and out to dose up because thats how you really know if you want help I talk to my counselor once or twice a week and all you guys should too it'll really help and ive had several counselors and they are all cool and understanding so dont worry who you get.... This place is amazing and is saving my life
